L.B. Foster Announces Appointment of Sr. Vice President, Rail Business

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Pittsburgh, PA-based L.B. Foster Company (NASDAQ: FSTR) announced today the appointment of John Kasel to Sr. Vice President, Rail Business for L.B. Foster Company.  In this new role, John will be responsible for the performance and success of the company's rail related businesses which will be combined under his leadership.  Robert P. John Kasel has been responsible for L.B. Foster's operations and manufacturing since 2003.  In 2005, he was promoted to Sr. Vice President, Operations & Manufacturing. John has been responsible for the transitioning to operational excellence at L.B. Foster and building a culture of continuous improvement that has resulted in outstanding improvements in plant safety and productivity, along with industry wide recognition of plant performance.  Prior to working at L.B. Foster, John held general manager assignments with Nortek Inc. and Invensys.
