LUND, Sweden, February 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Acconeer AB, a leading innovation company in the area of mobile sensors, announces that it has been awarded Guldmobilen in the category of best innovation in the Swedish mobile industry in 2015.
Lars Lindell, CEO of Acconeer AB commented: "We are naturally very pleased with winning such a prestigious award. We firmly believe that sensors in mobile are the next evolution of mobile phones and we are very confident that our radar can compete very well against other technologies such as infrared sensors as well as with other radars. The motivation from the jury to award us the prize was the human-machine interaction, which is one of the many possibilities that Acconeer's innovative sensor technology offers." The development team is led by co-founders Dr. Mats Ärlelid and Dr. Mikael Egard.
Mr. Wernersson, board member and Professor in Nanoelectronics at Lund University, also comments: "For us at the university it is very exciting to see truly innovative research come to life in the form of a product that has the potential to change the way we interact with mobile phones. We have a lot of confidence in Acconeer and congratulate them on winning this award."
