Bay Area to house LegalZoom's research and development efforts, global expansion

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LegalZoom, the nation's leading provider of online legal solutions, today announced plans to open a new R&D center in the SOMA district of San Francisco. Led by LegalZoom co-founder Eddie Hartman and CTO Tracy Terrill, the move will allow LegalZoom to re-imagine and re-engineer the way legal services are delivered.

A primary mission of the new office will be to complete LegalZoom's launch into the United Kingdom. The San Francisco Center will also be the home for LegalZoom's technology research and development and social media programs.

Recruitment is already underway. It will be LegalZoom's third office following the 2009 opening of LegalZoom Austin, Texas.
