ATLANTA, Oct. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Liaison Technologies, a recognized leader in cloud-based integration and data management solutions, today announced the launch of a new educational microsite featuring impactful research from Gartner, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company. The microsite urges information technology leaders to move data integration tools beyond the basics to unlock data's true value. Here, it is underscored that there is a need for a new approach to data management that Liaison helps to facilitate with its award-winning ALLOY™ Platform, the first Data Platform as a Service (dPaaS) solution for integration and data management.
Gartner surveyed 348 organizations across multiple regions in 2Q15 to discover more about their data integration initiatives and how they use data integration tools in support of today's increasingly complex Big Data requirements. Analysts evaluated survey results to identify emerging adoption trends related to integration tool functions and data delivery styles. The analysts also identified areas of focus that have the potential to vastly improve customer satisfaction and significantly increase support quality.
Among the key findings were that modern delivery styles like data virtualization are gaining traction and offer companies a way to set themselves apart in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Gartner notes, "Extend, rather than replace, your current data integration tools and architectures to support big data environments with the same functions that are used in traditional environments, so as to make fuller use of investments you have already made."
The survey also found 51% of respondents do not use data integration tools and platforms to support big-data-related use initiatives. "Another important finding is that customers' satisfaction with the pricing methods used for data integration tools has continued to decline. The mean score of 5.30 conceals this growing concern somewhat, but on closer inspection we see that 25% of the surveyed users are dissatisfied with their vendor's pricing method.1"
Liaison presents multiple takeaways based on the report, including the advantages of cloud-based integration and data management solutions compared to traditional on-premises solutions. The company encourages companies to extend their integration and data management capabilities for the future by beginning to deploy dPaaS models that provide the functionality of PaaS at the point of data analysis – without encumbering users with the particulars of the underlying data capture, integration or management mechanics.
Liaison used the Gartner survey's findings to cite best practices and vital knowledge for information leaders who are responsible for data integration. The microsite provides extensive content and resources to enable information leaders to investigate modern data delivery styles, evaluate their current data integration vendor's roadmap and assess other data integration options to find the scalable solution and flexible pricing they need to move beyond the basics and unlock data's true value. The survey findings support industry adoption of a unified, cloud-based integration and data management option such as Liaison's ALLOY™ Platform.
"Companies increasingly recognize that data is not only the new currency of business, but is also the central driver of strategy and transformation," said Bob Renner, CEO and President of Liaison Technologies. "Data can fundamentally change the way companies operate and spur innovation to new heights. But before that can happen, information leaders will have to find a better way to integrate, manage and apply the growing amounts and types of data now available to their enterprises. This microsite can help IT leaders understand where they are now and what next steps they can take to realize their data-inspired future."
