HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Joseph Brooks, President & CEO of Liberty USO, entrepreneur, educator, and a leader of the former Penn's Landing Corporation, will deliver the keynote address at the "Making $ense of Finance" conference in Horsham on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
The conference is designed specifically towards addressing the financial and investing challenges faced by members of the military and veterans. The conference will be held at the Horsham Air Guard Station on Easton Road in Horsham, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In his role with the Liberty USO, Brooks works to deliver the organization's mission to strengthen America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. Brooks has attended several "Making $ense of Finance" conferences, and he plans to share what he has learned from service members about their financial challenges and the different paths they have taken to overcome them.
"I'm honored to be addressing this conference and helping to deliver important financial information to those who serve and sacrifice in our armed services," Brooks said. "Military life can be especially hard because of deployments and the pressure and pace of work. Getting access to financial information and services they can trust is especially critical for many of our military families before and after they transition to civilian life."
The "Making $ense of Finance" conference is free to members of the military, veterans, and their spouses and partners. Breakfast, lunch, and parking are included. Space is limited; registration is required and available online here or call 1-800-PA-BANKS (or 1-800-600-0007). The first 200 people to register will receive a $20 gift card donated to the USO from various businesses for attending and participating in the conference.
