WHAT is the festival all about
Founded in October 2016, LifeArt Global Media Festival is a Multimedia Festival and a creative movement celebrating Life, Art, and Film. Its unique identity lies in being amongst the very few festivals worldwide that embrace the future of media across the board. LifeArt will be held annually in Greece, debuting July 2nd - July 12th, 2017.

In an era as fast-paced as ours, LifeArt Global Media Festival's primary goal is to provide a stable platform for Film, TV, Web & VR filmmakers to present their work to global audiences and explore the world of Media.
INSPIRED by an icon
The Festival is inspired by Greek director Michael Cacoyannis, a five-time Academy Award nominee and visionary whose mastery in his art form launched Greek Cinema into the international film industry.
BEST locations ever
The events of the festival will include indoor and open air screenings, special 3D projections, Virtual Reality activities, photography and Art exhibitions, live concerts and masterclasses. All events will be taking place in selected, iconic locations around the city of Athens and the islands of Mykonos and Santorini. In Athens, those include the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC); the Michalis Cacoyannis Foundation (MCF); and the thrilling ancient theatre of Herodion on the Acropolis hill. In Santorini, locations include landmarks such as the Open Air Cinema Kamari and Theros Wave, while in Mykonos those include the Municipal Art Gallery of Mykonos and Scorpios Mykonos.

The festival accepts submissions through WithoutABox and FilmFreeway. It hosts 7 Award Categories and a board of Jury with members of the Festival's supporting organizations and Film Industry professionals. The 1st Place Winner of the LifeArt Award will be given a €55.000 value prize of goods and services sponsored by Nu Boyana Film Studios (Sofia, Bulgaria - www.nuboyana.com)
PRESS GALA moments at Beverly Wilshire
The Ballroom of the luxurious hotel was transformed to host the launching Gala, filled with the essence of Ancient Greece and the spirit of an authentic art scene.
In a ceremony hosted by entertainment TV reporter George Satsidis and Hollywood actress Candice Coke, a gathering of American Press that mingled with digital influencers, film industry experts and colorful Hollywood socialites embarked on an idyllic date night with Zoe, the striking statuette created after the Greek figure of an archaic woman, the Cycladic Idol. Designed by the historic Zolotas House of Jewelry, Zoe is the official Award of the LifeArt Global Media Festival.
During the event, it was officially announced that this cinematic journey will top off at the Ancient Theatre of Herodion right under the Acropolis, on July 12th 2017. LifeArt will kick off on July 2nd 2017 in Athens and will continue its journey to the cosmopolitan Aegean Islands, showcasing submissions for Web TV, Virtual Reality, documentaries, short and feature films.
