Light Reading Publishes Alcatel-Lucent's 100GbE Performance Results
ALU is Second in Series on Light Reading's Open Test Program, Conducted by EANTC
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Light Reading (lightreading.com), through its partner European Advanced Networking Test Center AG (EANTC), has launched the second of its reports in its open test program that validates performance, service scalability and power efficiency of 100Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) router interfaces. The second participating vendor is Alcatel-Lucent and the report is available now at:

Why Test?
As more vendors deploy the first generation of 100Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) interfaces for their flagship routers, EANTC and Light Reading have set up a public test program aimed at providing operators with an unbiased, empirical view of these new interfaces. This provides vendors with a unique opportunity for differentiation and also offers operators a benchmark to use when evaluating vendors. As with other recent tests, this program is one that other media providers in the telecom industry don't have the time, resources, staff or skills to produce.
