Lighting Science Group Hires Ted Russ as General Manager of North American Illumination Business to Support Expanding Operations and Business Prospects

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla., April 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lighting Science Group Corporation (Pink Sheets: LSCG), a leading American maker of LED-based lighting, has hired Ted Russ to serve as its general manager for the company's North American illumination business.  Russ will play an integral role in leading the company's expanding business operations for innovative lighting in public infrastructure, commercial and consumer products.

Before joining Lighting Science Group, Russ was the Chief Operations Officer for StreetSmart Technology, a parking management technology company.  While at StreetSmart, Russ' efforts included leading the development and execution of a successful new product and services strategy as well as the standardization, training and management of the company's sales program.  He also served as the Vice President and General Manager for Acuity Brands' ROAM initiative, a remote asset management services company focused on street and area lighting. Russ went to Acuity Brands through the acquisition of Guardian Networks, a company he founded and led as Chief Executive Officer.  At Guardian Networks Ted led his organization through the multi year cycle of idea conception, strategic planning, business start-up, and execution.
