Lincoln Military Housing is proud to announce that a donation of over $17,000 was made to the Boot Campaign in support of their programs in the military community
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, May 18th, Lincoln Military Housing (LMH) celebrated Armed Forces Day with the 6th Annual "Barona Race Day Salute to the Military". Over 1,000 service members and their families in San Diego were treated to lunch, children's activities, family photos, non-stop drag racing action, and much more, all at no cost. A special ceremony was held mid-day to salute military members and their families, for their service and sacrifice. The ceremony was kicked off by the Patriot Guard Riders and colors were posted by the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Color Guard for the playing of the National Anthem. LMH team members were proud to have their "Boots On" in support of the nation's service members and their families!
This event would not have been possible without the support and sponsorship from LMH's partnering organizations. Along with sponsorship money, the military families and drag racers purchased door prize tickets and t-shirts with all proceeds going to the Boot Campaign. After collecting all of the proceeds from the event, LMH proudly presented the check to the Boot Campaign at the beginning of September.
