T-Mobile US, Inc. Research Report
On June 14, 2013, T-Mobile US, Inc. (T-Mobile) announced that the migration of MetroPCS customers into its 4G HSPA+ and LTE network is ahead of its planned schedule. John Legere, President and CEO of T-Mobile, US said, "The moment that NYSE bell rang on May 1, we put it into high gear and hit the gas." Legere added, "We've already begun moving MetroPCS customers to our blazing-fast network. The best part is as they upgrade their phones, their wireless experience immediately gets better." T-Mobile reported that approximately 60% of MetroPCS customers upgrade their phones annually, and therefore the migration is expected to continue at a rapid pace.
