Power Hour, supported by PT magazine, will rank fitness professionals against one another in unique challenges across the show's thriving health and fitness section. The challenges have been designed by some of the leading fitness suppliers in Europe with performance data powered by Power Hour partner MYZONE®.
"This challenge has been designed to take advantage of the fantastic array of fitness equipment suppliers on show at LIW" said Event Director, James Samuel. "Visitors have always been encouraged to discover the equipment by actually having a go at LIW and this Power Hour challenge is a natural progression from that. We're delighted with the response we've had from the exhibitors taking part and expect a really competitive atmosphere during the challenges themselves!"
Exhibitors taking part include Matrix, Escape Fitness, Physical Company, Queenax and Precor. Each company has designed unique 15 minute group exercise challenges which visitors can sign up for in advance of the event. All challenges will take place within the Power Hour of 2pm - 3pm each day. The MYZONE® heart rate monitoring system will provide live feedback on training intensity, calories and MYZONE® Effort Points (MEPs) resulting in a leader board highlighting the winner at the end of every day, and ultimately an overall winner who will be crowned Power Hour Champion.
Power Hour will take place at 2pm on each of the three days that LIW is open. Participants can sign up in advance of the event via http://www.liw.co.uk/phour and the winners will be announced via social media at the end of Thursday 26th September using #LIWPowerHour.
Participants will also be encouraged to share their competitive photos and videos in advance of the Power Hour sessions using #GetYourGameFaceOn.
Registration to attend LIW 2013 is free for leisure industry professionals. You can sign up to attend here http://www.liw.co.uk.
