DENVER, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- University of the Rockies President Dr. Charlita Shelton will be traveling to the United Kingdom as a visiting scholar June 13, 2014 through June 27, 2014. On Tuesday, June 17, Dr. Shelton will be the keynote speaker at the Making Diversity Interventions Count Annual Conference at the University of Bradford in Bradford, England.
Dr. Shelton was invited to speak at the conference after her successful role as an advisory board member of GENOVATE, an action-research project that aims to address the issue of gender inequality in research. The fourth annual conference will explore advancing equality and developing best practices for effective use of organizational diversity interventions.
Dr. Shelton will also travel to Ankara University in Ankara, Turkey to lecture on topics that include diversity, women's leadership, and her experiences as an African American female president of a U.S. university.
