Logansport Memorial Hospital and Woodlawn Hospital Join Nation's Largest Health Information Exchange

Logansport and Rochester, Ind. newest communities to join statewide health IT network aimed at coordinating care and improving patient outcomes.

INDIANAPOLIS, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Logansport Memorial Hospital and Woodlawn Hospital are now part of the Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE).   By joining dozens of hospitals, along with long term care facilities and other healthcare providers throughout the state, physicians at Logansport Memorial and Woodlawn hospitals will be able to better serve patients by securely accessing necessary information to make decisions critical to patient care.

The INPC daily handles approximately three million secure transactions of clinically relevant data such as laboratory test results, medication and treatment histories, and other clinically important information in a standardized, electronic format.
