Long-Time Editor Melissa Giannini Named Editor-in-Chief of NYLON

NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Melissa Giannini has been named editor-in-chief of NYLON, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Paul Greenberg, CEO of NYLON. Giannini will be succeeding the position held by Michelle Lee. Lee announced today she will be departing.

Giannini is a seasoned editor and writer and has been a long-time employee of NYLON, most recently serving as Deputy Editor. She has extensive media experience of over 15 years, including time prior at SPIN, as well as several lifestyle and music leaning publications, giving her precise experience in NYLON's core focuses.

She has authored some of the most popular cover stories in recent years including highly circulated interviews with Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX and, most recently, Grimes. Giannini has a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Bennington College.
