PASADENA, Calif., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, Nov 30 (8-9pm PT), Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) will welcome legendary guitar player and solo artist Joe Walsh to their ongoing "Let's Talk Music" series to share his outlook on the modern music industry and offer wisdom from his accomplished career to students, alumni and fans. The event is open to the public by RSVP (space is limited). The event will also be streamed live online at www.lacm.edu/letstalkmusic.

Best known for his powerful guitar licks, multi-GRAMMY award winning Joe Walsh has entertained the masses and captivated his peers for more than four decades with such classics as "Turn To Stone" "Funk #49," "Walk Away," "Life's Been Good" "Rocky Mountain Way" "Life in the Fast Lane", and "Ordinary Average Guy." In 1969 Walsh found success with The James Gang, followed by a stint with Barnstorm, a trio he founded. In 1973 Joe released his first solo album, which proved him a legitimate solo act with a limitless career on the horizon. By 1975 he joined The Eagles, bringing a harder rock sound to the group with the acclaimed Hotel California, The Long Run and Eagles Live. In 2014, Walsh toured worldwide on the History of the Eagles World Tour, and in fall 2015 launched his Walsh Toor 2015 with dates throughout the east and plans to continue playing select shows nationwide in 2016.

Walsh has also been given two honorary doctorates of music – the first from the Berklee School of Music and also from Kent State.

This exclusive event is a part of LACM's "Let's Talk Music" series, an event hosted regularly for students and alumni of LACM, and for the music-minded community in Southern California. Other musicians previously featured in the series include producer Glen Ballard, Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Ziggy Marley, Moby, Dave Wakeling, Gavin Rossdale, Stewart Copeland and Linda Perry.
