LTG Arthur J. Gregg (retired) receives the General Creighton W. Abrams Medal from the Association of the United States Army
ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A member of Binary Group's Board of Advisors, Lieutenant General Arthur J. Gregg, (retired), received the General Creighton W. Abrams Medal, awarded for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of the US Army. The award was presented to LTG Gregg at the opening session of the Association of the United States Army's (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition, October 13, 2014.
The General Creighton W. Abrams Medal is awarded to an individual or organization contributing most significantly to the advancement of the United States Army into the current year.
LTG Gregg served our Nation honorably for the past 70 years, fighting in both Vietnam and Korea, as well as leading within AUSA for the past 30 years. He retired from active management in 1996, but continues to contribute to this day, helping many non-profit organizations and serving on several corporate boards where he chairs four, including Binary Group.
LTG Gregg enlisted in the United States Army in January 1946, and was commissioned through Officer's Candidate School in May 1950. He served for more than thirty-six years and retired in August 1981 in the grade of Lieutenant General. His most significant assignments included Commander, Army and Air Force Exchange System, Europe; Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, United States Army, Europe; Director for Logistics in the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and the Army's Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics. Following retirement from the Army in 1981, General Gregg held several corporate assignments at the vice president, president, and chief executive officer levels.
