"Lunch Line" featured as September film in Whole Foods Market's® Do Something Reel Film Festival National School Lunch Program is the spotlight of this month's documentary
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for back-to-school, Whole Foods Market will feature "Lunch Line" as the seventh film in this year's Do Something Reel Film Festival.
"Lunch Line" follows six school age children from one of the toughest neighborhoods in Chicago as they set out to fix school lunch and end up at the White House. The film will be available to digital audiences with exclusive interviews from the filmmakers for one month on iTunes and other platforms, beginning today, for $3.99 in standard definition and $4.99 in high definition. This journey from filmmakers Mike Graziano and Ernie Park parallels the dramatic transformation of school lunch from a patchwork of local anti-hunger efforts to a robust national feeding program.

Revealing the history and complexity of these issues, "Lunch Line" shows how those on all sides of the lunch line can work together for a common good: the health of America's kids.
Improving childhood nutrition is also the focus of the Whole Kids Foundation, a Whole Foods Market foundation. To date, the Foundation has funded nearly 900 school garden grants in partnership with FoodCorps and over 1,500 salad bars through Let's Move Salad Bars to Schools, giving more than 1 million kids access to healthy food choices.
