NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- M. Holland Company, a leading distributor of thermoplastic resins, today announced the launch of its Commercial Development Program, a recruiting and training program to ensure the company maintains a pipeline of talent to support its strategic growth plan. The 12-month training program was created by the M. Holland Commercial and Training teams to offer the most comprehensive commercial training experience in the plastics distribution industry.
The program will target recent university graduates with majors in Business, Marketing, Chemical, Polymers and Plastics Engineering. Current M. Holland employees also are eligible to apply for the program.
Over the course of the 12-month program, the participants will learn the business from the inside out. Associates will rotate through each department of M. Holland, allowing them to develop their commercial skills while exploring potential career paths and their personal interests. At the conclusion of the 12-month program the participants will have the opportunity to transition into the sales, sourcing or operations areas.

The first hire for the program is Jarrod Wassell, a recent graduate of Penn State University, Behrend campus. He holds a BBA in Project and Supply Chain Management. Jarrod will join the organization on February 1. The company expects to add two more people to the program this year and to maintain five to six trainees when the program is fully staffed.
