PHILADELPHIA, July 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiberlink®, the leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for secure mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), today announced two awards from the Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA) June 2012 Council Meeting. The company's MaaS360 mobility management platform won the "Best Secure Mobility Roundtable" award and Fiberlink's Information Security Officer, David Lingenfelter , and other senior industry executives received the "Most Dynamic Speaker" award for their panel entitled "Developing a Secure Mobile Strategy: Networks, Apps, BYOD and More."
The semi-annual GTRA Council brings together executive-level government technology leaders to collaborate, strategize and create innovative solutions for government-wide challenges. Through these council meetings, GTRA provides required continuing education (CEUs) for government executives, facilitates valuable executive-level networking and helps identify affordable and effective technology solutions through the unique government-to-industry boardroom meetings.
"GTRA is happy to announce Fiberlink as the winner of the 'Best Secure Mobility Roundtable' award and one of the recipients of the 'Most Dynamic Speaker' awards," said Kelly Yocum , CEO and Co-Founder of GTRA. "Winning these two awards show Fiberlink is a highly recognized thought leader in the government sector."
This is the second consecutive year Fiberlink was honored by GTRA. Last year, the company was selected the "Best Security Solution" for its MaaS360 platform.
"As the enterprise mobility market continues to mature, organizations will need more advanced management that spans across devices, networks, apps and documents for both corporate and BYOD," said Lingenfelter. "While having visibility and control at the device level will still be considered a best practice, much of the focus will be on the data and ensuring that it's handled and protected appropriately."
