MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions Congratulates Kettering University for Winning the 2014 MacLean-Fogg Cup

MUNDELEIN, Ill., March 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions (MFCS) congratulates Kettering University for winning the internal combustion division of the 2014 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Clean Snowmobile Challenge (CSC) held March 3-8 at Michigan Tech University's Keweenaw Research Center.  This collegiate design competition challenges teams to reengineer an existing snowmobile to improve environmental performance.  Modified snowmobiles then compete in a variety of events including emissions, noise, fuel economy/endurance, acceleration, handling, static display, cold start and design.

The award for winning the internal combustion division at the 2014 Challenge includes Kettering University's name being etched in the MacLean-Fogg Cup, their possession of the Cup for one year and $1000 donated by MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions.  The MacLean-Fogg Cup, artistically designed and sculpted by Sergio De Giusti, Italian born, Detroit-area artist, will be presented to the Kettering team at an on-campus ceremony March 18^th.
