MainStreet Bank Reports Profitable 2011
HERNDON, Va., March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MainStreet Bank (OTC Bulletin Board: MNSB) reported year-end net income of $1.089 million for 2011, in comparison to $416 thousand through year-end 2010. The book value is $9.83 per share as of December 31, 2011. The closing price on that same date is $5.23, which approximates 53% of book value.
Chairman, President & CEO Jeff W. Dick said, "While we are pleased with our 2011 performance, our profitability is strained by a few challenging loans. We will continue to work with our customers through this economic cycle."
The bank's balance sheet continues on a positive growth track, with total assets at $282 million. Gross loans are at $202 million and total deposits are at $249 million.
