MainStreet Monitoring Devices Contributes Portion of Proceeds in Support of Special Olympics Texas 2010 Summer Games

ARLINGTON, Texas and CRANSTON, R.I., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- As so often happens when one or two individuals embark on a personal mission to ease the plight of certain people closest to them, other people, far outside their immediate circle, also benefit. Such was the case when Craig Baker, CEO and founder of MainStreet Monitoring Devices, Inc., an innovator of superior personal safety and telemedicine solutions to advance the care and protection of children and seniors, learned that the daughter of a lifelong friend was diagnosed with a developmental disorder. It was soon after that Baker, a successful banking executive, and his wife Elizabeth, became determined to do something to help, and in 2006 founded MainStreet MD. Today, MainStreet MD, announces it will donate a portion of its proceeds in support of more than 3,000 Special Olympics Texas athletes expected to compete in the 2010 Summer Games scheduled May 28-30, at the University of Texas at Arlington.  MainStreet MD, whose products empower family and professionals caring for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental challenges to be actively involved in providing for their safety and treatment, is contributing 15 percent of its sales on an ongoing basis to Special Olympics Texas.
