BALTIMORE, Md., Oct. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- RLTV, the only cable network that provides consumers with information and entertainment to Redefine Life after 50, has reached agreements with Comcast Cable, Verizon FiOS and Time Warner Cable to deliver its series "Making Medicare Work for You" via their video on demand (VOD) platform starting October 1st and continuing for several weeks. Hosted by Deborah Norville and sponsored by UnitedHealthcare, "Making Medicare Work for You" is a comprehensive series designed to take the guesswork and anxiety out of Medicare.
Comcast On Demand will feature "Making Medicare Work for You" under their national "Top Picks" folder from October 1-14, reaching all of their VOD households. Both Verizon and Time Warner Cable will distribute the series under RLTV's VOD folder until December 7th. Total VOD distribution will make the series available to over 35 million cable households.
Each year, the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) provides consumers the opportunity to review their health-care situation and change health plans if their current coverage no longer meets their needs. Timed in advance of AEP, which starts earlier this year (Oct. 15-Dec. 7), "Making Medicare Work For You" will help the first of eligible baby boomers make decisions that will fundamentally affect their lives.
"With UnitedHealthcare's support and partnership, we have crafted a program that informs and empowers boomers to take control of a critical yet daunting subject," said Patrick Baldwin, SVP of Affiliate Sales and Corporate Development for RLTV. "By making these special presentations available through VOD, Comcast, Verizon and Time Warner Cable have greatly increased the opportunities for more Americans to acquire vitally important information concerning Medicare – and we thank them for their support of the 50+ audience."
