MANGIC Foundation Honors Wounded Warriors At 59th Annual MCAS Miramar Air Show
COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With the roar of the world's most powerful aircraft thundering overhead, 100 guests from all branches of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines received VIP treatment at the nation's largest air show in San Diego, California this week. For the 18th time, Mike Manclark, founder and chairman of MANGIC Foundation hosted an Executive Chalet for service men and women and their families, treating them to first-class amenities and shows by the renowned Blue Angels, extraordinary parachute teams and other incredible aerial demonstrations.
"Spending the weekend with those who give so much to our country is an honor and a privilege," said Manclark. "This year we included special guests from the Semper Fi Injured Marine program. These brave individuals have been battle tested and certainly deserved preferential treatment at the coveted prime flightline position."
Support for the veterans and active military is a Manclark family tradition that spans multiple generations. Mike Manclark become involved with the Semer Fi Fund 10 years ago to support post post 9/11 critically ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The community leader has overseen dozens of events which raised six-figure funds for the severely injured marines, donating similar values in personal capital and goods. In addition to sponsoring large fundraising events, Manclark engaged over 100 children to contribute lemonade and bake sales proceeds to learn the value of giving back to the community and showing that they care.
