Mark Herbert, President of Travel Solutions, Marches With the Distinguished Clown Corps in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Parade

ATLANTA, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Travel Solutions is pleased to announce that their president, Mark Herbert, is once again participating in the annual Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Parade as a member of the Distinguished Clown Corps. For the event, the members of the corps trade in their every day business attire for a decidedly less formal clown costume, including shoes, wig and a big red rubber nose. They do this so they can spend time with some incredibly brave children that are facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses; who deserve every smile these corporate clowns can muster.

The Distinguished Clown Corps is a group that consists of Atlanta's leading business executives and community leaders. The individuals who make up the Corps have been walking in the Children's parade for 20 years now; this year marks their 21^st. If someone chooses to don the nose and wig and become a Distinguished Clown, monetary donations should be made to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. In addition to donating funds and walking in the parade, the Clowns feel their most important duty is spending time with the children. Many of the kids the clowns visit may not be able to make it to the parade, or sadly, next Christmas. So they feel it's important to put their happiest and funniest faces on to give these children the very best time they can.

Mr. Herbert says, "This year we're hoping to recruit 50 clowns, all contributing the minimum donation, which will bring our group's lifetime contribution total to Children's to over $1 million. We're really looking forward to this. But even if we fall a little short, we're just thrilled to have been able to contribute what we have to such an amazing organization. I consider myself fortunate to work with such a great group, and to be able to meet and interact with such strong and amazing children and families."
