Mark Stach Named Publisher/General Manager, Strategic Business Media, Business Insurance
CHICAGO, Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark Stach, 42, has been named publisher and general manager, strategic business media, Business Insurance. Business Insurance consists of a weekly newsmagazine and online news operation that reports on corporate risk, employee benefit and managed health care news for commercial insurance industry and financial executives. The announcement was made today by Christopher Crain, vice president/group publisher, Crain Communications Inc.

Prior to joining Business Insurance, Stach was global chief operating officer-consulting at Hewitt Associates in Lincolnshire, Ill., a leading human resources consulting and outsourcing organization. Before that post, he served as global chief financial officer-consulting for the company.
From 2004 to 2007, he was vice president of complex travel and vice president of business planning at the online travel company, Orbitz Worldwide, based in Chicago.

Prior to Orbitz, Stach worked at uBid where he helped evolve the online retail auction site. In addition, he was a management consultant with Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, focusing on digital strategies for clients in insurance and retail. Stach was also a consultant for William M. Mercer, serving as a national specialist in interactive communication media.
Stach earned his MBA at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA in economics from Northwestern University. He lives in Lake Forest, Ill. with his wife and two daughters.
