Marketo Announces Keynote Speakers for 2016 Marketing Nation® Summit

Multi-platinum recording artist, pop star, and songwriter Rachel Platten and more will join Marketo's Phil Fernandez and Sanjay Dholakia in inspiring "Tomorrow's Marketer"

(NASDAQ: MKTO), today announced the first keynotes for its Marketing Nation Summit, the marquee event for the world's best and brightest marketers. Multi-platinum recording artist, pop star, and songwriter Rachel Platten will take the stage alongside Marketo chairman, CEO, and Silicon Valley technology veteran Phil Fernandez and Marketo CMO Sanjay Dholakia at the MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in May 2016.

During the conference's Day 1 and Day 2 keynotes on May 10 and 11, attendees will also hear from Facebook CMO Gary Briggs; New York Times best-selling author, adventurer, explorer, and mountaineer Alison Levine; and Jamie Gutfreund, global CMO of digital agency Wunderman. All speakers will contribute to this year's theme of inspiring "Tomorrow's Marketer."

Platten's first major debut came with the release of her hit single "Fight Song," which tells the story of her long road to success.  The fire that "Fight Song" ignited has connected Platten not only to music fans, but to her first major label debut with Columbia Records. Briggs joined Facebook in 2013 as the company's first-ever CMO. He is responsible for Facebook's consumer, product, and platform marketing. Prior to joining Facebook, Briggs served in various roles at Google, Inc., including CMO of Motorola following its acquisition by Google, and VP, Consumer Marketing. His longstanding career in marketing and consulting includes prominent roles at notable global companies such as eBay, PepsiCo, IBM, and McKinsey.

Levine is an adventurer, explorer, and mountaineer who served as team captain of the first American Women's Everest Expedition. She has completed the Adventure Grand Slam, climbing the highest peak on each continent and skiing to both Poles, something fewer than 30 people in the world have accomplished. Drawing from her breadth of experiences – from her career on Wall Street to recovering from three heart surgeries and a serious neurological disease – Levine believes that leadership is everyone's responsibility, not just the people at the top.

Gutfreund leads Wunderman's global marketing and communications initiatives, driving awareness of the agency's unique blend of data-inspired creativity. Over the span of 20 years, Gutfreund has served as an early pioneer in digital content and commerce, identifying opportunities and building partnerships between brands and technology companies. One of Elle Magazine's 2015 "Women to Watch," Gutfreund has held positions with Microsoft and Expedia and driven international marketing campaigns for Lufthansa, Procter & Gamble Europe, and the Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

Additional speakers for the keynotes will be announced in the coming weeks, capping off nearly 100 hours of programming with the industry's most innovative thought leaders.
