Marketo's customer certification exam will be offered for the first time at Summit 2013 at a promotional price of $125. The exam will be offered on the following dates:
- Tuesday April 9th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm
- Wednesday April 10th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm
To become a Marketo Certified Expert, candidates must complete the approximately one hundred multiple-choice item 90-minute exam. Exam topics range from lead management and asset design, to programs and campaigns, and reporting. No course prerequisites are mandatory, but a roadmap outlining the recommended course of study is provided for preparation. Upon passing the exam, Marketo Certified Experts receive official designation and a logo that can be used on social profiles and business cards, membership in an exclusive LinkedIn Group, recognition (badge & reputation points) in Marketo's user community, and an electronically delivered certificate. To ensure Marketo users stay current, the certification is valid for one year after which users must re-certify.
