BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Marriott Traveler, the award-winning digital magazine from Marriott International's (NASDAQ: MAR) Creative + Content Studio, knows that enriching global travel experiences happen when you put down the tourist guide and instead rely on the expertise of fellow travelers. Today, Marriott Traveler debuts its latest content series, "Round the World," featuring the photos, videos and articles of eight notable travelers who recently circumnavigated the globe.
For the series of articles, Marriott Traveler worked closely with Star Alliance*, the world's largest global airline alliance, to develop themed itineraries for eight notable travel bloggers, vloggers and social media influencers as they leveraged Star Alliance's new Round the World Ticket. The Star Alliance ticket enables travelers to explore multiple destinations in more than 192 countries for the price of one fare. The series will document every aspect of the influencer's trips that included destinations like Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Chicago, Dubai, Istanbul, New York City, Rome, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, Toronto and many more exciting locations.
"This project is exactly the way we want to explore the world – through the eyes of locals and travelers visiting a country for the first time," said Marc Graser, editorial director, Marriott Creative + Content Marketing. "We were excited to work with Star Alliance to send this amazing group of travelers around the globe."
Eight travelers were chosen to share their journeys with Marriott Traveler readers, including:
