Matthew Faraci Named Vice President for Communications and Marketing
WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Matthew Faraci has joined Americans United for Life (AUL) as the new Vice President for Communications & Marketing.
"Matthew is a strategic thinker who brings with him a reputation for creativity, an ability to get things done, and a focus on bringing people together. He is a long-time advocate for life and is passionate about achieving progress on this issue. We're very pleased to welcome him as part of the team," said Dr. Charmaine Yoest, President of AUL.
Faraci joins AUL from the U.S. Council on Competitiveness, a leadership group working to preserve America's economic edge in the global marketplace, where he was Vice President for Communications. Prior to the Council, he served as a spokesman for former Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao and also handled press operations for the Labor Department's Employment and Training Administration and Mine Safety and Health Administration.
Faraci spent time on Capitol Hill, representing former Indiana Congressman John N. Hostettler as press secretary. He has assisted numerous political campaigns over the years in different states.
Faraci first worked in Washington as a producer for The McLaughlin Group and went on to become series producer of the PBS show Think Tank with Ben Wattenberg. He helped produce a number of television series and documentaries including the award-winning North Korea: The Nuclear Threat. A native of New Hampshire, Faraci began his professional career in Los Angeles, working as a freelance writer/producer and as a public school teacher.
