BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- McGlinchey Stafford attorney Christopher "Chris" Bottcher is co-author of a new publication released by the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the DRI Deposition Manual.
The DRI Deposition Manual aims to help litigators with all levels of experience improve their effectiveness at taking and defending depositions of all types. The book provides an exhaustive treatment of the deposition process, from the history of depositions to taking and defending depositions, and includes nuanced considerations for practitioners taking depositions of particular classes of witnesses. Other DRI member attorneys from across the United States contributed chapters to the publication, which is available for purchase through the DRI's website, www.dri.org.
Bottcher, a member of McGlinchey Stafford's national Commercial Litigation practice, heads McGlinchey Stafford's Birmingham, Ala. office. He is the author of the manual's seventh chapter, "Defending the Client's Deposition." Bottcher is an experienced litigator who represents companies across a variety of industries in a vast range of civil, business, and commercial litigation matters, as well as in business and consumer fraud claims. He has served as Chair of DRI's Trial Tactics Committee since October 2014, and has held numerous leadership roles within DRI's Trial Tactics Committee for the past eight years.
DRI is the international membership organization of more than 22,000 attorneys and in-house counsel involved in the defense of civil litigation.
