Mediation To End Superior Court Clerk Strike Fails
Strikers will march from Hall of Justice to New $230M Courthouse
SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Mediation broke down last evening and the Santa Clara County Superior Court Clerk strike will continue today. Strikers will rally at 9:00 AM at the Hall of Justice and then march to the new $220M courthouse on the corner of St. James and First Street in downtown San Jose.
On the same day that the National Association of Realtors announced that the median home price in San Jose topped $1 million dollars, the court continued its unwillingness to improve the lives of these workers who have gone 8-years without a pay raise. The average wage of these essential court workers is $52,000 per year, hardly a King's ransom.
