CARMEL, Ind., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthony H. Choi, PhD, and Anne M. Teegardin, MS, have joined Avant Healthcare Marketing as Scientific Content Consultant and Medical Research Associate, respectively.
Dr. Choi and Ms. Teegardin, as members of the Medical Affairs team of Avant, continue to expand the pharmaceutical experience, solid medical research skills, and robust medical expertise that clients of Avant depend upon. Their addition ensures that Avant is well positioned to provide a rich understanding of the tremendous advances being made in the biotechnology industry.
Prior to joining Avant, Dr. Choi was a Content and Curriculum Specialist at CME Enterprise. He received his postdoctoral training at the University of Calgary and University of Toronto, and he earned his PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Toronto, Master of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology from York University, and Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Alberta. Dr. Choi brings years of experience in the areas of infectious diseases, protein expression, and viral immunology and is the primary inventor on the patent for the rotavirus subunit vaccine.
Ms. Teegardin previously served as a Research Assistant at the University of Evansville, where she provided research support in protein molecular studies, which were designed to determine the optimal catalytic conditions of phytase. Ms. Teegardin earned her Master of Science in Biology from IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a focus on molecular biology.
