MegaRed® Shows Commitment to Fostering a Healthy Community by Offering Free Omega-3 Testing, Education at Nationwide Walmart Wellness Day Events

NEW YORK, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MegaRed, an Omega-3 supplement brand dedicated to helping support overall health, will provide free Omega-3 Index test kits and education at Walmart stores nationwide on September 21 and 22. As part of the Walmart Wellness Day program, MegaRed is educating the public about the importance of Omega-3s, an essential nutrient the body needs but can't produce on its own, and how one can find out their Omega-3 Index level and take action if they receive a low result.

Omega-3s have been associated in beneficial ways with overall heart health, improving eye, brain and joint performance.¹ But according to a recent study, 98% of people have low Omega-3 levels despite believing they were getting enough from a balanced diet.² Those who are looking to obtain a higher Omega-3 level should consider dietary changes, including eating at least two servings of fatty fish per week or taking an Omega-3 supplement.
