Melvin C. Beall, Jr., P.E. Joins Daft McCune Walker as Director of Government Services

TOWSON, Md., Aug. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Daft McCune Walker, Inc. (DMW), a multidisciplinary land development/design consulting firm, announced today that Melvin C. (Chuck) Beall, Jr., P.E. has joined  the firm to lead its expansion into the public sector market. As Director of Government Services, Beall will be responsible for capitalizing on the firm's recent Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) status within the government sector. He will work closely with DMW's Managing Director, Dane Bauer, to oversee several of the firm's business development initiatives.

A licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland and Delaware, Beall brings over 30 years of engineering experience to his new role. He has worked on government projects as well as land development for residential, commercial and industrial projects including construction management. Most recently, he served as Director of Planning and Growth Management, Charles County Government, Southern Maryland. During his tenure, Beall performed executive planning and growth management work; directing  the County's comprehensive and land use planning, environmental, engineering, building and infrastructure permit administration, and capital improvement programs.  Beall managed a capital improvement program with a $400+ million budget and was a key negotiator of economic development agreements on behalf of Charles County. Previously, he worked for Maryland-based engineering firm of John E. Harms Jr. & Associates.
