Meridium presented the APM Enterprise Technology Award to Brisbane, Australia-based Santos GLNG, a groundbreaking venture to convert coal seam natural gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) for export to global markets. The APM Enterprise Technology Award recognizes the company that has developed and implemented an IT solution to effectively reduce the silos of data within their organizations. Meridium selected Santos GLNG for its achievement of a highly integrated and complete suite of asset management systems for Santos GLNG Operations use, for upstream, pipeline and downstream operations. During the project, Santos GLNG successfully eliminated point solutions and spreadsheets and standardized work processes based on Meridium best practices.
The winner of the 2014 APM Best Practice Award is Luminant Mining of Dallas, Texas (USA). Meridium selected Luminant Mining for pioneering a best practice through its development of a reliability management concept and process. The solution included an APM framework and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) model that allowed Luminant Mining's reliability team to monitor and track process effectiveness. Additionally, the team developed monthly compliance, timeliness and goals reports and presented them to the executive team, providing the information needed for process adherence and real reliability performance.
The APM Innovation Award recognizes the company that has developed and implemented new and innovative uses of Asset Performance Management for changing work processes within their industry to enable sustainable value. Meridium awarded MeadWestvaco's paper mill in Covington, Virginia (USA) for the implementation of a new IT framework and the use of PROACT for Meridium's RCA and mobile inspection tools to build robust workflows and eliminate chronic failures. MeadWestvaco achieved an innovative solution for a high value sustainable work process around APM.
