mGive to Power the Industry's First $25 Mobile Donation Campaign
The American Center for Law and Justice launches the mobile donation industry's first-ever $25 text donation campaign powered by mGive
DENVER, Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- mGive, (www.mGive.com), the leading service provider for mobile donations in the United States, today announced that it is powering the mobile donation industry's first $25 text donation campaign launched by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ). Through this campaign, individuals can text LIFE to 50555 to donate $25 to the ACLJ, an organization dedicated to protecting freedom, life, and religious liberties in the United States and internationally.
"The ACLJ is excited to help advance the mobile giving channel by launching the first $25 mobile donation campaign in the United States," said Gary Sekulow, CFO/COO of the American Center for Law and Justice. "The ability to contribute a larger amount through this campaign will allow our members to quickly and easily participate in protecting constitutional liberties and religious freedom, both domestically and around the world."
The campaign stems from the recently announced $25 mobile donation trial being conducted with most major domestic mobile carriers that was initiated by mGive's 501(c)(3) partner, The mGive Foundation. The mobile donation trial campaign raises the maximum mobile donation amount from its current $10 level to $25, the first campaign of its kind in the mobile donation industry. Currently, donors can give $5 or $10 donations to charities of their choice that utilize mobile donation campaigns. The ACLJ was one of two organizations selected to participate in the trial, designed to evaluate the validity, effectiveness, and donor response to a $25 donation level.
"Through our partnership with the American Center for Law and Justice, we are helping to reshape and advance the mobile donation industry by powering the first $25 mobile donation campaign," said Brian Leamy, Executive Vice President of mGive. "We thank the ACLJ for helping us change the way people give, and we are excited that this groundbreaking trial, initiated by ThemGive Foundation, will further evolve the landscape of the mobile donation industry. We are honored to have the opportunity to once again redefine the mobile donation channel."
