Miami Mechanical Trades Training Program Announces Openings for Fall Term
Program offers free trade training, on the job experience and wages & benefits totaling $90k upon graduation
MIAMI, Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Pipefitting Education Center ("ARPEC" and "training center") announces the upcoming April 29 deadline for openings in the school's prestigious training program for the fall term. ARPEC graduates can receive an impressive compensation package totaling more than $90,000 per year, including excellent health insurance and two retirement programs.
ARPEC trains apprentices for lucrative careers in the high-tech, high-demand field of air conditioning service, maintenance and installation, as well as pipefitting and welding on new construction projects. Best of all, employers pay all tuition costs for applicants who are accepted into the school's challenging five year program.
The training center is jointly administered by the Mechanical Contractors Association of South Florida ("MCASF") and United Association Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Pipefitters Local Union No. 725 of Miami, Florida, A.F.L.-C.I.O. ("Local Union 725")
ARPEC offers hands-on training provided by highly-skilled, certified instructors who, as members of Local Union 725, are experts in their field. Comprehensive classroom studies are complemented by hands-on experience working for MCASF Contractors, who employ more than 700 skilled tradespeople in the metropolitan Miami area.
Admissions requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must furnish a valid driver's license
- Must furnish a birth certificate and social security card
- Must be able to adequately perform the work of the trade
- Must submit a high school transcript or official GED report
- Must take two state-recognized math evaluation tests, practice exams available
- A $60 non-refundable application fee is required
