NEW YORK, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporate change agent Michael Krot has joined The Miles Group – an advisory firm to top global corporations – coming on as a partner based out of San Francisco. A specialist in senior management team effectiveness as well as executive assessment and development, Mr. Krot will expand the firm's suite of services geared to C-level leadership.

Mr. Krot began his career as an officer and operating manager in the United States Navy, based in Japan. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master's degree in education from Stanford University. After serving in the Navy for six years and completing his graduate studies, he joined McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant.
Subsequently, Mr. Krot worked at The Monitor Group, where he served as a core member of a team that designed and delivered accelerated leadership development programs for succession readiness. He continued his experience as a principal with the Leadership Consulting group within Heidrick & Struggles. At Heidrick, he worked with clients globally across a range of industries – from technology to consumer packaged goods to financial services to life sciences to industrial – to coach and develop executives to perform at their highest potential.
Mr. Krot joins The Miles Group from Quoia & Company, a consultancy working with CEOs, CHROs, and heads of business units to assess organizational culture and executive effectiveness. He and his team identify barriers to growth – whether team dynamics, individual performance, or underlying organizational dysfunction – and then make the changes necessary to achieve world-class performance.
As a new partner, Mr. Krot is joining Mr. Miles as well as Taylor Griffin, a partner with the firm who specializes in succession planning, executive development, and coaching services. Ms. Griffin – who has worked on numerous CEO and Chairman succession projects around the world – has been with The Miles Group since its inception last fall.
