MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Military.com announced today it is launching MyWingmanDiana.com, a new blog by radio and television host Diana Falzone on Valentine's Day, February 14.
The blog will feature Diana's signature brand of advice and relationship expertise on dating in the modern world, only with an eye on the issues unique to the military lifestyle. The inspiration for the blog came from Diana's brother, a Captain who served in Iraq, and his fellow Soldiers.
"I realized that these guys face all the same hurdles of dating in the modern world," Diana said. "But they have additional challenges because they are in the military and have to deal with stresses many civilians don't."
Falzone, Military.com's relationship expert, will cover dating and deployments, long distance relationships, meeting people at a new installations and other issues germane to those who serve the country. "My hope is that I can offer real life solutions and advice to these wonderful men and women. I have respect for their choice to serve and if I can do anything to improve their lives than I am happy to do it," she said.
Military.com's editor Ward Carroll said the content fills a specific need among the site's network of blogs. "Forty-some percent of the active duty military is unmarried," he said. "They deserve a proportional level of advocacy as they go about their lives. And Diana understands the landscape well. She's seen it firsthand. We're proud to have her join the Military.com team and excited to see what happens as she gets to work helping our troops find the happiness they so richly deserve."
