Millar, Inc. Announces Clinical Distribution Agreement with Taisho Biomed Instruments Co., Ltd.

HOUSTON, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Millar, Inc., a leader in technology that enables scientific discovery and increased medical understanding, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Taisho Biomed Instruments Co., Ltd. to market and sell the Millar Mikro-Cath^TM Cardiovascular Pressure Catheter in Japan.

The agreement is exclusive and will allow Taisho to begin selling the Mikro-Cath immediately. Taisho, located in Osaka, Japan, has been in business since 1980 and maintains a solid reputation in providing the highest quality medical equipment and devices to hospitals and medical facilities throughout Japan.

Taisho's founder and president, Hideo Dale Tanaka, has dedicated his career to building relationships with doctors, scientists, clinicians and patients to ensure the devices they sell are representative of their high standards.

Millar looks forward to the opportunity to expand Mikro-Cath usage outside of the United States and Europe. The Mikro-Cath will allow Japanese clinicians and medical researchers to record high-fidelity pressure measurements of cardiovascular function for use in heart failure cases, exercise studies, drug therapy evaluation, LVAD evaluation and benchtop studies.
