CERRITOS, Calif., Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc. announced today it has been awarded a new U.S. Patent (#12,011,326) for laser-assisted periodontal procedures connected with its LANAP® protocol using the PerioLase® MVP-7™, a free-running variable-pulsed Nd:YAG laser.

The new U.S. patent builds on laser-assisted dental procedures connected with the LANAP protocol using the PerioLase MVP-7.

The LANAP® protocol is only available with the PerioLase® MVP-7™, a free-running, variable pulse Nd:YAG laser that targets the source of infection without damaging or removing healthy gum tissue.

The LANAP® protocol is the only FDA-cleared laser periodontitis treatment with histological proof of True Regeneration™, resulting in new periodontal ligament, cementum and alveolar bone.

The announcement coincides with Gum Disease Awareness Month, which is recognized by official proclamation in all 50 states, multiple territories and several Canadian provinces to promote early detection and treatment.
