Minnesota State Senator Julie Rosen Recognized For Advocacy Work on Mental Health Issues
WASHINGTON, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Minnesota State Senator Julie Rosen received the 2014 State Legislator of the Year Award from the American Psychological Association Practice Organization (APAPO) in recognition of her ongoing support of integrated health care services and her critical involvement toward the passage of the mental health consultation to primary care practitioners legislation. Sen. Rosen, a Republican, was presented with the award at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 9.

Sen. Rosen has been a long-time proponent of health legislation including laws providing access to mental and behavioral health in Minnesota.

Sen. Rosen represents District 23 and has served in the Minnesota State Senate since 2003. She is the ranking minority member of the Finance – Health and Human Services Division committee and is a member of the Health, Human Services and Housing, Environment and Energy and Capital Investment committees.
