Minyanville Media to Host 4th Annual Festivus Ruby Peck Foundation Charity Event
NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- On December 3rd, Minyanville Media, the Emmy Award-winning financial media company will host its fourth annual holiday "Festivus" event at Hill Country Barbeque in New York City to benefit the Ruby Peck Foundation.
Guests of the event will celebrate the holiday season with four live bands, a silent auction, a casino tournament, all you can eat barbeque and a top shelf open bar.
Over 500 financial professionals are expected to attend, including David Stockman, Peter Atwater, and Jeff Macke, in addition to professors, partners, investors, employees, friends and family from the Minyanville community. Twenty companies are set to sponsor this year's event with TD Ameritrade featured as the headline sponsor. Yahoo Tech Ticker is also providing coverage of the event.
Net proceeds from the event's sold tickets, auction, casino tournament and donations will benefit The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education. The charity organization, begun by Todd Harrison, Minyanville founder and CEO, is dedicated to promoting creative educational programs and providing children opportunities to learn regardless of socioeconomic classifications, physical challenges or geographical boundaries.
