MADISON, Wis., Nov. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MIOsoft Corporation announced today that Gartner Inc. has identified MIOsoft as a Visionary for data quality tools, based on MIOsoft's ability to execute and completeness of vision. This recognition comes in the Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools, published on Nov. 18, 2015.*
The components of MIOvantage, MIOsoft's data quality solution, have been used since 2004 for data quality in enterprises worldwide, including some of the world's largest companies. The MIOvantage platform, which combines these components, was introduced in 2014.
MIOsoft's cofounders have extensive backgrounds in enterprise environments, which has informed MIOvantage's development from the beginning, according to Jordan Barrette, MIOsoft's chief operating officer.
"MIOvantage's suitability for enterprise usage isn't a side effect of developing for big data in general," said Barrette. "Our technology has been driven specifically by the needs of enterprise customers from Day One."
As described by Gartner, "Visionaries demonstrate a strong understanding of current and future market trends and directions, such as the importance of alternative deployment options like SaaS, support for large datasets, the engagement of business subject matter experts and the delivery of data quality services. They exhibit capabilities aligned with these trends, but although they may deliver good customer experiences, they may lack the market presence, brand recognition, customer base and resources of larger vendors."*
According to Barrette, customers of future MIOvantage deployments will see enhanced all-around support for their data quality initiatives.
"Although our customers have been happy with their MIOvantage experiences, we know that in the end it's all about how fast and effective we can be at solving the specific problems of a specific customer," Barrette said. "This led us to include work with our in-house experts as part of every step of the MIOvantage sales and deployment process, so we can better support the customer's data quality initiatives from the ground up. That covers everything from weighing in on strategy and big-picture questions to just saying, 'Here's how you do that in MIOvantage.'"
