Dominic A. Capolongo to Head Advisement for Specialty Finance Companies

NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MLV & Co., a full-service boutique investment bank and institutional broker dealer, announced today that Dominic A. Capolongo recently joined the firm as managing director and co-head of its Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Capolongo will lead a team of investment banking professionals and advise specialty finance companies extending across numerous corporate finance, financial advisory, and corporate banking sectors.

Mr. Capolongo comes to MLV & Co. from RBC Capital Markets, where he served from 2011 as managing director in its U.S. Financial Institutions Investment and Corporate Banking Group. With nearly 25 years experience advising financial services companies as a lawyer and banker, Mr. Capolongo will use his broad expertise in mergers and acquisitions, mortgage processing, and real estate investment on behalf of MLV's growth-oriented clients.

In addition to his work at RBC Capital Markets, Mr. Capolongo worked as a senior banker at DLJ and Credit Suisse Securities, Co-Head of the Diversified Financials Group at Jefferies, and Head of the Financial Institutions Group at Cantor Fitzgerald. He was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 1985 and a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY-Binghamton in 1982.
