STANFORD, Calif., Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Stanford based startup, Hangster, announced the launch of their first mobile app on iOS.
Say goodbye to lonely lunches, solo beer sessions, and awkward selfies to pass time by. Hangster, now available on the App Store, is the go-to app that allows you to see which of your friends are looking to hang out.
"Hangster takes away the pressure from having to make the first move and instead encourages your friends to live in the moment," said Hangster CEO Oscar Barillas.
Open the app and immediately see which friends around you are available to grab drinks, get lunch, or go to the gym. Say goodbye to awkward unanswered text messages, Hangster let's you live it up.
Founded by Stanford students Oscar Barillas, Juan Posadas and Julio Buendia, Hangster has already celebrated great success with its beta users in California universities.
So, what are you waiting for? Take a quick break and download Hangster from the App Store. You'll be one step closer to making that hangout happen. How cool is that?
How does it work?
Free Friends
Hangster works by first showing you the friends that, just like you, are ready to hangout. Within the application, you can see which activities your friends are looking to do. For example, if John was looking to grab food, a food icon appears next to his name and all his friends that also want to get food would appear. Currently, there are 3 filter icons: Food, Drinks, and Gym. However, the possibilities for hangouts are endless as you can forgo choosing an icon and just see who's free for a good time.
Chats
Once you choose who to hang out with, a chat pops up where you can quickly make the hangout happen. Together, you can plan where to go next.
Joining Plans
If some of your friends are already making plans and their chat is open, you can also join their chats. Simply, tap and join.
