Mobile Monetization and App Distribution Leader Opens New US Headquarters in San Francisco, California
Appnext Continues its Expansion and Growth Strategy with New Office Opening
LONDON, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Appnext, the leading app distribution and monetization platform - which grew its revenues by 345% last year - today announced the opening of its new US headquarters in San Francisco, California, and the appointment of Jason Akel as General Manager, US. In this capacity, Akel will oversee all Appnext operations in the United States.
Akel brings over 16 years in digital marketing and content distribution across categories - with almost a decade in games - to Appnext. At leading games-on-demand provider Exent, he launched the ad-supported site Free Ride Games and sold millions of games service subscriptions through large carrier partners including Verizon, CenturyLink and T-Mobile. While with Trymedia, now part of RealNetworks, Akel helped kick off the downloadable games revolution, bringing the largest publishers into digital and creating the games offerings for portals like AOL, Yahoo! and countless others. In the earlier part of his career, Akel worked in television production and produced a festival-winning, feature-length motion picture.
Elad Natanson, co-founder, Appnext, commented: "We have a great, professional team and we're confident that together with Jason we can continue growing our business in the U.S. Jason brings vast knowledge of the industry, customers and products, and he's the right person for the mobile scene in the region."
The new office opening is part of the company's strategy to enable growth and a distributed presence to provide industry-leading solutions and drive mobile business growth to partners across the region. The US office will also support Appnext partnerships with US-based companies.
