MARV officially presented at world's largest ISM-fair in Cologne in 2014
By inventing a mobile vending machine that offers a thousand possibilities to customers, Dutch company US Candy Network has caused a new craze in the world of advertising. Although the MARV (Media & Advertising Racing Vehicle) will be launched officially during the world's largest sweets and snacks fair ISM in Cologne, Germany, on January 26th 2014, movie companies, supermarkets, toy stores and breweries from all over the world want to have it now.

According to its inventors, MARV embodies the future in marketing and media advertising. The machine recognizes customers and interacts with them, has a touch screen where they can view movies, print coupons, get a discount, play games or plug in their iPad. It offers all possible payment through internet or smart phone. The machine pushes out the candy, drinks or other refreshments in a special packaging which again provides advertising space.
"MARV offers companies the possibility of target advertising and product placement. When someone at the movies sees a product in the latest blockbuster, he goes out for candy during the break and at the same time gets a discount coupon for that product," Chantal Kersten of US Candy Network explains.
The hip tricycle runs on electricity, has a green label and can be custom made. MARVs can be transformed into characters from movies or amusement parks or into corporate designs. An American mega toy store has ordered a large number of machines, on which children can play virtual games in the stores or get a discount.
A major sponsor of the World Football Championships in Brazil next year has 14 MARVs built. Furthermore, large European advertisers are excited, and the advertising space on the back of the coupons is claimed by a fast food company.
The machine uses Microsoft's Kinect system that enables interaction with customers. Next year, the Kinect 2 system will be installed, allowing MARV to even talk to his customers.
The vending machines are assembled at US Candy Network, which also designs and updates the software. The company expects to deliver 3000 machines in the coming year. With the official launch in Cologne, the special website http://www.478mr.com goes online.
