MoMinis Expands Its Mega-Game PlayScape To Improve Mobile Game Play And Discoverability

TEL AVIV, Israel and NEW YORK, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MoMinis—an Israeli-based gaming company that provides solutions for developers and players in today's fragmented marketplace—today announced that it is expanding its mobile mega-game experience, PlayScape­, to all games in the MoMinis network. PlayScape—originally a downloadable application—and its cross-game play experience will now be automatically attached to each game that MoMinis' one million active daily users play, promoting game discovery that benefits both players and developers. 

Available on Google Play, PlayScape offers players a seamless gaming experience with transferable points and virtual currency that they can accumulate while playing a variety of mobile games. The PlayScape mission wall allows players to receive guided tours as they go in and out of the games in the MoMinis network and utilize their points and currency.

Ten percent (2.5 million) of MoMinis total users downloaded the original PlayScape application.  Based on internal research, those users played twice as long and downloaded three times as many games as those who didn't have the app. With PlayScape's expansion, 100 percent of MoMinis' user base is now exposed to the mega-game experience, which promises thousands of downloads for each game within the MoMinis network—all for free.

PlayScape incorporates more than 50 games from The MoMinis Studio and is designed to appeal to a range of gamers who want incentives built-in to the process, and a uniform and fun cross-game experience.  The initial idea for the PlayScape application came from MoMinis' three-year analysis of the game playing behavior and motivation of its users and the more than 200 games created with The MoMinis Studio.

In addition to PlayScape, the MoMinis portfolio offers several other solutions for gamers and developers. It recently launched a Collaboration Program in which MoMinis creates, publishes and monetizes a mobile version of a partner's existing game from another platform.  Additionally, The MoMinis Studio allows developers to create a mobile game in its entirety—from the initial creative concept to rapid game completion.
